Tickets on sale now from http://parklifefestival.co.za/

2018 kicks off with a bang as the line-up is announced for the Parklife Festivals in Johannesburg and Durban on 27 and 28 January.

Multi-platinum selling Australian duo Angus & Julia Stone have already been announced as the international headliner for both festivals, along with local rising star Alice Phoebe Lou.

The next exciting announcement is the addition of the WE LOVE SUMMER stage at both Parklife Festivals. The We Love Summer brand has fast become one of the most popular boutique summertime festivals across SA and the team brings the party to Parklife as a selection of SA’s top DJ’s will entertain audiences in Joburg and Durban on a dance-floor like never seen before. Expect an outrageously good time courtesy of the crazy We Love Summer family.

Looking at the line-up for each festival, Joburg’s 7th annual Parklife Gourmet Food And Music Festival takes place at Marks Park in Emmarentia on Saturday 27 January and announces the following stellar line-up across the three stages:

During the first two years of the festival (2013 & 2014) acts such as Matthew Mole, Beatenberg, Nakhane Toure and December Streets made their Parklife debut on this stage, and this year Josh Kempen and Charlie Finch are the first two artists confirmed to perform.

The gourmet food court in Joburg will satisfy the hunger with a vast selection of tasty food options from Sumting Fresh, Culture Kitchen, Eighty8’s, Dimsum Bar, McChurros, Knickerbocker Ice Cream, Belgium Waffles, and many more.

The 2nd annual Parklife Gourmet Food And Music Festival, in partnership with East Coast Radio, returns to Durban following the success of the inaugural event drawing thousands of attendees last year. The line-up for Durban welcomes the following acts:

About ANGUS & JULIA STONE:

Celebrating a career that spans over 10 years, Angus & Julia Stone have released countless hits since first performing together in 2006. South African fans can finally look forward to seeing their favourite songs performed live and with a selection of timeless gems such as BIG JET PLANEJUST A BOYHEART BEATS SLOWA HEARTBREAK, MANGO TREE, and PAPER AEROPLANEeach show promises to be nothing less than spectacular.

Angus & Julia Stone will also perform songs from their brand new and 4th studio album, SNOW, which was released on September 15. The album features 12 glorious tracks penned by Angus and Julia together and is the next chapter in an immensely successful career. SNOW already accounts for over half a million album sales in Australia alone and was produced, and largely engineered, by the Sydney-born siblings themselves.

"It was quite magical because Angus and I have never spent that much time together, just the two of us," says Julia"There's always at least an engineer or tour manager but the last phase of writing and recording was just eight weeks of him and me and the quiet of the land. It was a beautiful time."

The duo also recently revealed the exquisite road trip music video for their latest single, CHATEAU, which can be viewed here.

The narrative for the CHATEAU music video is played out by leading Australian actors Courtney Eaton, who starred most recently in Mad Max Fury Road, and Dacre Montgomery, who featured in Power Rangers and is the new lead in Stranger Things season 2

"It’s exciting to share new music with people for sure... but to be honest, it's not why I got into writing music," says Angus"For me it's always just been an expression... but it’s a great feeling if people are digging it”
